From the Artist: "She is in a dream world of her own, waiting for the great changes in her life to come."

From the Painting Guide: This is a strong painting in terms of conveying emotion and longing, even without knowing the title or reading the artist's statement.

Things to consider:
Composition: There's a very strong diagonal line through the moon, the ring of the red planet, the figure, and onto the brown. The shooting star adds balance in the top left corner, but the bottom right-hand corner is empty, it feels like a left-over area.
Proportion: If this were a literal painting rather than allegorical with echoes of tarot-card symbolism, the figure's legs would be too long (out of proportion) for the torso and head. As a general rule, legs make up about half of a person's height. The height of a person is equal to about seven-and-a-half or eight times the size of their head. This figure's thighs are the same length of the torso.
Brush marks: When the brushmarks are meant to show instead of blend in, they can be used to create form rather than to put down colour. For example, on the left-hand part of the red planet the brush marks follow the surface of a sphere, whereas on the right-hand part of the planet they're seem to suggest a planet's cloud cover.
