From the Painting Guide: You've captured a sense of character, though I'm not sure what symbolism is intended by the halo behind her head (if that had been a cross on her necklace the symbolism would be clearer). The elongated neck is reminiscent of Modigliani, with a touch of Picasso's fine sense of line on the nose. As a single painting it's perhaps a rather lonely figure; it would interesting to see it as part of a series of figures done in the same style. Return to Critique Corner
