From the Artist: "I painted this picture about six months ago. I usually paint mountain scenery. In your opinion is this picture lacking anything to complete it?"

You're invited to join the discussions on all the paintings in Critique Corner in the Painting Forum.

From the Painting Guide: You need to consider more carefully how trees actually work and what they look like, rather than painting a concept of a tree, basically a lump of green cottonwool on top of a stick. Take a look at the submissions (and comments on these) to the Tree Painting Project and the article on painting believable trees. Also consider the perspective in this painting. The only real indication you have of perspective is the different size of trees, the rest of the landscape gives no aid whatsoever to this. In fact, if you look at the perspective on the road compared to that of the trees, it must get incredibly wide.
