From the Painting Guide: There's a touch of Paul Klee with the abstracted face and what could be a little bird on the left. While the big yellow eye draws in my eye initially, the fact that the tonal quality of the painting is almost consistent across the whole thing means there's nothing else that grabs my eye and draw it around the painting. Take a look at the greyscale version of the painting below and you'll see just how little variation in tone there is. | |||
