The Fauvists were a group of artists working in the early twentieth century. Their art was characterised by bold, unrealistic color and a disregard for conventional perspective.
1) Matisse: Goldfish
Matisse was the acknowledged leader of the Fauvists. This painting is of a humble goldfish bowl, surrounded by plants.
