Making Varnish Less Glossy

A helpful tip to add to your painting knowledge.

If you think a varnish is too glossy the way it comes out of the bottle, you can reduce the glossiness by running the tips of a varnishing brush over the varnish before it has dried, just when it's starting to become tacky. But try it out before you try it on a painting, as you don't want to overdo the effect!
