Brush Movement for Painting Fur

A tip to add to your fur painting knowledge

By Marion Boddy-Evans, About.com Guide

When painting fur, you need to paint in a push and lift motion -- load paint onto the brush, put the tip on the paper, as you move it across push down slightly so the brush mark becomes a bit wider, then flip it up. If you find this hard to visualise, think of the motion you use when you brush your cat or dog's fur.
