Keeping Acrylics Moist

A helpful acrylic painting tip submitted by a fellow artist.

By Marion Boddy-Evans, About.com

If I need to set aside my colour palette to do something else quickly, I cover it with wet paper towel or cotton fabric to keep the paint moist. If it's going to be a while before I can resume painting, I cover this with a piece of aluminium foil. This stops the paint from drying out.
Tip from: Rachel Esh.

Tor those of us who have limited funds, place your acrylic paints on a wet paper towel on your palette and mix next to it. It will stay moist and last much longer and you have spent no money on closed palette board.
