Water for Acrylic Paint Brushes

A helpful acrylic painting tip submitted by a fellow artist.

By , About.com Guide

Use three jars of water for your brushes: one, preferably with a few drops of acrylic flow improver added, to thin your paints and make them move on the canvas more easily; one of warm water and washing-up liquid to clean your brushes; and one jar of plain water to rinse them. Clean your brush every few minutes ... let the acrylic paint dry in the bristles and you may as well throw it away.
