"Study direct from nature. Study to feel...Don't think the "nature" means "in the countryside" or "somewhere remote". Potplants and a vase of flowers have many possibilities too, beyond the obvious overall view. Look for instance at the negative space (like this, or up close (like Georgia O'Keeffe).
