"Color directly influences the soul. Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the hammers, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another purposively, to cause vibrations in the soul." -- KandinskyAs when you start learning to play the piano, you take it one hand and a few notes at a time, so learning to know your paint colors should be taken a few notes at a time. Rushing into painting with dozens of colors is more likely to have you hitting the wrong notes than first familiarizing yourself what tunes you can get from a few.
