Someone was asking what it means when an art show is juried. It's when the decision about what to include and exclude from an exhibition or show is made by a group of people. A jury judging the paintings. The entry rules of the show usually sets out how selection happens, and who the jurors are.
Typically each person gets one vote, and paintings are shortlisted by a simple majority vote. (Having an odd number of jurors rather than an even eliminates any tied results.) Depending on how many paintings the exhibition has space for, there may be another round of voting or certain members of the jury may get to make the final selection.
