Not Lipstick...

Follow me on:

Oilbar oil paint in stick form ...nor an oil pastel ... but a stick of oil paint.

This particular stick is an Oilbar from Winsor & Newton, and I was using it yesterday to create some monotypes (photo on my review). Other companies that produce oil sticks, aka pigment sticks, include Sennelier, R&F, and Shiva.

Wow, at first glance those looked intriguing! Your review only makes them sound intriguing, too!! :D

I love going to art supply stores and looking at all the types of paint and pastels. The colors are beautiful and soothing.

I haven’t tried those! They look like they’d be right up my alley. My paintings always turn out better when they start off with a strong underlying drawing…so those would be ideal.

I do have some of the Lyra watercolor crayons that I really love.

Actually that shade of red reminds me of the lipstick my mother used to wear everyday in the sixties.
