Reaching the Top of a Big Canvas

Monsieur P Artiste ponders just how he'll reach the very top of his new, big canvas...
Someone needs to tell him there's a far safer (and easier) way than standing precariously on a crate or box. Simply turn the canvas upside down or sideways, Monsieur! Or consider investing in a sturdy stepladder.

M. Artiste has some good help. I hope his big painting turns out well!
My dad (Wayne Peterson)has liked to work large. One thing I remember him doing was taking the painting off the easel completely and resting it against the side of the hayloft wall. (His studio was built into the hayloft of our 150 yr old barn at that time, and the relatively small amount of hay we stored for our animals was at the other end of the barn.)
Anyway, resting the canvas on the floor gave him another 1-2 feet of “reachable” space. I also remember him using a step ladder on some canvases — the ones that were over 10 feet tall. When a canvas is 20 x 12, it can get hard to turn over!
That is perfectly adorable.
