Utrecht's Free to Enter Art Competition

The bad news about the Utrecht Art Supplies 60th Anniversary Art Competition is that it's is open only to artists in the USA. The good news is that there's no entry fee, four categories (oils, acrylics, watercolor, and mixed media), and entry can be done online. You may enter up to three paintings, which will be judged on "quality and originality" by American Artist magazine, Utrecht Art Supplies' Resident Artist, and the Ridgewood Art Institute.

• Prizes: Grand prize is $3,000 and first prizes in each category $1,200.
