Vote for a Favorite Urban Abstraction
A poll inevitably involves the selection of favorites and the danger of those excluded feeling rejected. But I've had several requests for a poll at the end of a project, so I'm giving it a go this month. The template for creating a poll allows only 10 options, and I've compiled an entirely subjective shortlist of those urban abstraction paintings that resonate with me.

This has been a fantastic project, everyone who took part seems to have really enjoyed it. My absolute favourite is CITYSCAPE BY DOREY followed by SPADINA AT NIGHT BY CHRISTY MICHALAK.
Wow, that was a hard pick. I waffled between at least three. I wish I could have made a shortlist instead of having to choose one. I ended up choosing the Chicago Hancock building in the rain. I felt like I was looking out at the city from a rain soaked window. I also loved Spadina at Night and I Don’t Even Cast a Shadow as top choices. Great works everyone!
This was difficult, because there are several I think are good.
I pick the Hancock one just because I love Chicago.
I vote for John Houston’s work “Chicago Hancock, November Rain”. The composition is great, and the colors indicative of a Fall rain. Great work.
