Is it Pollock's Fingerprint or Not?

From what I've read about Jackson Pollock he seemed to enjoy an argument, so no doubt he'd have enjoyed the fighting about whether a fingerprint is or isn't one of his. The authentication of a painting as a Pollock depends on it, according to an article in Art News entitled Blue Print. (Kudos to that headline writer... it's a fingerprint on a blue can of paint.)
The twists and turns in the case would make a plot for a summer-reading novel, especially with the twist about the forging of a fingerprint using an inked rubber stamp.
