New Flower Paintings in Project Gallery

Tuesday May 13, 2008
Flower painting Some folks may get tired of hearing about Van Gogh and sunflowers in the same sentence, but I think it's impossible to deny or overstate the influence he and his paintings of sunflowers still have. So I wasn't surprised when I saw in the statement accompanying the painting of the sunflower shown here that it was "inspired by Van Gogh".

The painter, Tanja, says: "I tried to understand his way of painting by adopting aspects of his sunflower paintings. I wouldn't say this a good painting though, I just tried a few things and think it was a useful exercise." Take a closer look...

Other New Flower Paintings:
Japanese Iris by Papaya
Rhododendron by Petrina Yuretich
Still Life Flower by Mary Ann Heeb
