New Fruit Still Life Paintings

Still Life with Fruit The latest additions to this month's painting project gallery sound like a recipe for fruit pie: "Take some apples and blackberries... add the zest of lemon and grapefruit..." But these pieces of fruit aren't destined for eating, but hanging on a wall.

The Green Apple by Papaya (shown in the photo here), was an attempt at chiaroscuro. I particularly like the way there's a hint of the apple's green into the dark background. Take a closer look...
