Monet Painting: A Step-by-Step Demonstration

Sunday March 18, 2007
Paint a Monet When Karen Day-Vath saw the reference photos of Monet’s Gardens at Giverny, she "was mesmerized". Karen says: "Here was the opportunity to paint from a reference photo instead of an actual copy of one of Monet’s paintings. I chose Monet’s Bridge; I had always loved Monet's painting of it, so I thought I’d try to do my own version of it. Then I decided I didn’t really want to copy it, I wanted to make it my own."

Take a look at Karen's Monet painting as it unfolds step by step and also discover how she gets on with acrylics, which she's using for the first time.
