Pastel Journal Competition: Online Entries Accepted

A very useful change has been made to this year's Pastel 100 Competition, organised by The Pastel Journal -- entries can be done online, making it easier for artists outside the USA to enter. There are five categories: Landscape & Interior; Portrait & Figure; Still Life & Floral; Animal & Wildlife; and Abstract/Non-Objective. Paintings must be "at least 80 percent soft pastel" (no oil pastel). The entry fee is US$12.50 a painting (I guess this being so much cuts down on the number of entries to judge!) and the closing date is 1 September 2006. Prizes totalling US$15,000 are up for grabs, plus publication in the April 2007 issue of The Pastel Journal. As entries are judged from photos only, ensure it's a decent one.
