Beginner Tackles the Amusement Painting Project
Wednesday June 21, 2006
Have you been put off the Amusement Painting Project because you think it's too difficult for a beginner? Well, then the painting by Sunfluer will be an inspiration to you. It may not be a painting that's going to be winning any prizes in an art competition, but that's not why it's a great painting. It's great because the way the challenge was tackled head-on, because of feeling of movement in the figures. As Art and Fear says: "The function of the overwhelming majority of your artwork is simply to teach you how to make the small fraction of your artwork that soars ... What separates artists from ex-artists is that those who challenge their fears continue; those who don’t, quit." Sunfluer is to be congratulated for doing just this. Take a look at Sunfluer's painting...
