How Asia Adapted Cubism

I'll be the first to admit gaps in my art-history knowledge, but I sure don't remember ever reading in any art-history textbook about Cubism and artists in Asia... But thanks to an article called Cubic Roots: How Asians Transformed a European Movement in Newsweek magazine, about an exhibition at the Singapore Art Museum, I've now got a tiny idea of how Cubism was absorbed and adapted by artists in that part of the world. Unfortunately the online version of the article doesn't have any photos, nor does the museum, but I did find a website with photos of paintings by Philippines artist Vincente Manansala, which includes some of his Cubist work.
