Plein-Air Painting in China
Wednesday February 15, 2006
After reading about Richard Moore's plein-air painting experiences, artist Mike Killelea emailed me, saying: "I believe onlookers are especially interested in seeing something (the painting) appear from out of nowhere. I think it's a special treat for people to see an artist painting, no matter what it comes out like. And it's always special for me to be part of that experience. A year-and-a-half ago I went to China and did 10 watercolor plein-air paintings there. Plein air is just fun, and a great way to connect with people even though you don't speak their language."
