Tate Modern Re-Organising Its Paintings
Friday September 30, 2005
Sections of the Tate Modern art gallery in London will be closed while a new hanging is organised, so if you're visiting the gallery to see a particular piece, best contact the gallery to ensure it's still on display. The works to be re-arranged by theme, such as Minimalism, Cubism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism, rather than the current subject, such as landscape and still life. According to a report on the BBC, 40 per cent of the works that will be display when the new hanging is completed in May next year will not have been on show before. So if you enjoy modern art, put the gallery on your to-do list for the second half of next year! Read BBC news report...
